EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
Getting in and Locking up:
We will contact you with the door code. Once the code is keyed in, the door will automatically unlock.
To lock the front door, simply push the “Schlage” button.
Kitchen:
There is a regular side by side refrigerator/freezer and a beverage cooler for your food and drinks of choice. Please throw all food that you brought to the house during visit away before leaving.
The kitchen is stocked with cookware, silverware, glasses…everything needed
If there is a beeping sound coming from the beverage cooler, the door isn’t closed all the way.
The trash and recycle bins are in the bottom right hand cabinet of the island. Please segregate trash and recycle. Trash bags are in the drawer above the bins. The outdoor garbage bins are on the left hand side of the house. Trash runs on Monday mornings…very early. Please put trash out by the road on Sunday nights. Blue lid trash can is for recycle, black lid is for regular trash.
TVs/Alexa/Lighting/Wifi:
For the living room TV, use the LG controller for power and volume. Use the Firestick controller for App selection, etc. The TV has YouTube TV and Netflix. If you login into any Apps while at the house, please logout before leaving.
The Master Bedroom TV controller is universal, and also has YouTube TV and Netflix.
Wifi: NETGEAR57, password: cleverzoo542
There are three Alexa units in the house, all have Amazon Music, and they also control different lights around the house. Lighting names for Alexa are as follows:
Dock Lights Deck Lights: These are the lights under the Tiki hut
Main Lights: These are the living room lights
Lights 1: These are the lights under the patio over the table
Lights 2: These are the lights under the patio closer to the grill
Pool Deck Light: This is the pool light
All of these lights can be controlled from the switches, but to use with Alexa, simply say:
“Alexa, turn on Dock Light Deck Lights” or “Alexa, turn off Dock Light Deck Lights”
You can also say “Alexa, turn on/off ALL lights”, and all lighting that Alexa controls will turn on or off.
Being specific is important!
Laundry:
There is a stacked washer and dryer behind the door just outside the Master Bedroom.
Pool:
The pool is saltwater and heated in the winter months. Please do not adjust or touch any pool controls. If you would like the pool set to a certain temperature, please arrange that with us prior to your visit and we will have the pool service take care of it.
Grill Area:
The exhaust hood must be on to the use the grill.
To use the grill or side burner, the propane must be turned on in the bottom cabinet. If the propane is out, there is a spare bottle under the cabinet. Be sure to turn off after use.
Due to the nature of the patio design, it can get a little smoky while grilling depending on what is being grilled. We find it best to keep the sliding doors to the house closed while grilling.
The ceiling fans on the patio are powered by the middle switch just inside the sliding glass doors. They are timed and controlled together by the fan controller that sits on the gold side table by the couch. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU CLEAN THE GRILL AFTER USING!!!
Dock Area:
There is a two-person kayak on a lift. The oar is hanging in the garage. To operate the lift, you must use the two switches in tandem in the lift control box. (see video)
DO NOT use the lift if not completely comfortable doing so.
There is a fishing pole hanging on hooks under the Tiki hut, please rinse with fresh water after using it.
There are lights at the dock on the pilings underwater. To turn these lights on, there is a toggle switch under the two boxes with the word “Manta” on them. These lights will cycle in color once turned on. To pick a color, cycle the toggle switch quickly off and then back on (see video). This will lock in the color. The lights can be left on for the duration of the stay. Please turn them off when you leave.
Do Not Dos:
Please do not touch, climb on, or otherwise mess with the boat at the dock.
Please do not use the freezer in the garage.
Please do not use the fishing equipment in the garage.
Departure Checklist:
Take the sheets off of your bed and leave them on the floor in that room.
Lock all of the doors, including screen doors, EXCEPT for the screen door next to the outdoor kitchen, that will allow the pool service access.
Set the thermostat to 80.
Throw out food and take out trash.
If you leave on Saturday or Sunday, please place the trash bins by the road.
Turn off the dock lights if you have turned them on.
